Jogathon – October 12th, 2018 – “Americana” —> Online donation

Our school goal for this year is $35,000. Contributions go towards funding our technology, science, art, and music programs. Thank you for helping our school! If you have any questions, please contact the Jog-A-Thon team at svsjogathon@aol.com.

Catch the Americana spirit and show off your business on our St. Vincent’s Jog-a-thon T-shirt this year.  You don’t need to own a business to sponsor – your employer can sponsor and your family receives the credit towards your PTG Commitment.  Also, your child will receive FREE DRESS and will be entered to win a SONY PS4. THIS WEEK….

This week, we’ll be settling in to 6th Grade – sorting our supplies, organizing our binders, notebooks, and personal spaces for the new year, and establishing expectations and routines. We’ll be sharing our summer reading projects, starting our first couple writing assignments of the year, and completing a few assessments (helps Ms. C help us more efficiently).

On Wednesday, here’s what’s coming home for parents to look at and sign:

  • School Calendar and Handbook (sign and return by Friday, September 7)
  • 6th Grade Parent Scoop (sign and return by Friday, August 24)
  • 6th Grade Student Lowdown (sign and replace in student Big Binder by Friday, August 24)
  • Computer Lab Policy (sign and return by Friday, August 24)
  • Laptop Use Agreement (sign and return by Friday, August 24)
  • Anti-Bullying Policy (sign and return by Friday, August 24)
  • Bishop Flores Media Center Policy (sign and return by Friday, August 24)
  • Gradelink Login Information (please sign and return ONE copy by Friday, August 24 – change your Gradelink password ASAP)
  • Jog-A-Thon Information and T-Shirt Orders (orders due Friday, August 31)

Phew! My apologies, I know it’s a lot! Thank you in advance – please let me know if you have any questions on the information/policies.

We’re also kicking off our first fundraiser for 6th Grade Camp –> representatives from All American Catalog services will be on campus on Friday to talk to 6th and 8th about the sales. A large percentage of whatever money your child raises is put forth to your family’s individual camp balance (I’ll talk more about this at Back-to-School Night).
