I’m back!!! I hope you all had a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving – please allow me a few days to get caught up on everything (emails, grading, etc.) from my absence. Thank you in advance for your patience!

Progress reports will go home this Wednesday afternoon – please log on to Gradelink for more detailed information regarding your child’s grades. Let me know if you would like to schedule a meeting.

A FEW NOTES FROM ME

Upcoming Events

  • Santa’s Dinner 11/30
  • Santa’s Secret Shop 12/6
Santa’s Dinner: See Marsi Santos and Leigh Medeiros for information on Santa’s Dinner and how you can volunteer to help. A flyer will go home today with some donation requests.
Scrip Cards are available in the school office for the holidays. Scrip cards make great gifts, stocking stuffer ideas etc. The school benefits too! Contact Marsi Santos and Cheryl Doherty for information and for more ideas.
Grandparents Day – On December 19th the day will begin with Mass at 9:00 am. Students will sit with his/her guest for Mass, followed by breakfast in the church hall and a Christmas performance matinee at 11:15 in church. When the program is over, your student may leave with their grandparent. There will be extended care for students who stay on campus.
As the weather is getting colder, the San Diego Rescue Mission needs gently used clothing – children and adult, male and female. This is the perfect time to check your closet for any gently used clothing you no longer wear. Items such as coats, jackets, sweaters, hats, scarves, gloves, pants, shoes etc. are always accepted. Cheryl Doherty – school parent, will make sure all items reach the people who need them.  There will be a box outside the school office for your donation. Operation Cold Weather will run from November 26 – December 11. Thank you for your support.
SAVE THE DATE!! Join us “Under the Sea” for the 3rd Annual Mother Daughter Tea Party! Saturday April 13, 2019 at 10 am. All women and girls welcome. Click here to view our Save the Date Evite for more information -including an exciting new venue!

THIS WEEK….

Reading/Language Arts:

We will have a test next week. At the moment, it is scheduled for next Wednesday 12/5.

Religion: This week, our religion will continue to focus on the Liturgical Year – we will explore the different seasons of the church, their symbols, and what message they signify.

Towards the end of the week, we will start exploring the season of Advent more in depth with a look at a Jesse tree. We will create and design ornaments for a classroom Jesse tree and explore the meaning behind the symbols used for this unique Christian tree.
