A FEW NOTES FROM ME

  • 6th Grade Camp is fast approaching! We will have a parent meeting on Thursday, March at 7:00 p.m. in the Sixth Grade classroom. The program director from Camp Stevens will be present to give a preview of the program and answer any questions you, as a parent, may have. In addition, I will have payment updates, forms to fill out, and requests for information. At least one parent should be in attendance.
  • If you’d like to talk about your child’s progress or any classroom issues, please make sure to schedule a meeting with me. Please do not drop by the classroom unannounced or stop me on the yard expecting a conference – not only does this detract from my time to grade/prep for class or supervise the class, it also makes our conversation less effective as I’m not prepared to have a full discussion with you. Feel free to jot me a note or send me an email – I’m happy to schedule a time to talk with you.
  • A new electric/camera entrance box has been installed at the Ft. Stockton Gate by the school office. This gate will be the main entrance to our school. All parents, visitors, deliveries etc. will enter through this gate. Effective February 19th the school will no longer use the Ibis Street Gate – we will use the Fort Stockton Gate. The Ibis Street gate by the parish office will only be available to the preschool parents and parish guests only.  See Sr. Kathleen’s email for further details and instructions. Please call the school office if you need more information or have questions.
  • Please note if you are stopping by the school during school hours, you must stop by the school office using the Fort Stockton gate. In an effort to increase instructional time and decrease interruptions, please leave uniforms, lunches, etc with the office staff, who will deliver to the classroom when appropriate. If you are going to a classroom, you must have a visitor’s pass/badge from the school office.

Don’t forget – your child can play Prodigy at home to practice math skills! It’s a fun, interactive game that helps build math skills and is geared to your child’s individual level and needs!
