As registration for the 2019-2020 school year continues, I’m sure you’ve all read about the exciting incentives offered for all of who are recommending new students to St. Vincent’s (see Sr. Kathleen’s Monday letter). I hope you’re also spreading the news about our exciting changes in 6th – 8th grade for next school year!
In our efforts to provide quality Catholic education for all students and in our efforts to prepare students for high school, we will be restructuring the program for our sixth – eighth grade students, implementing it in the fall 2019. Sixth Grade will be joining 7th and 8th in departmentalized classes. While more details will be shared in the coming weeks, here are a few exciting changes:
  • Homeroom teachers will teach the Religion curriculum to their respective grades.
  • Ms. Coito will teach the writing and grammar program to grades sixth – eighth. She will also teach Social Studies to sixth grade.
  • Mrs. Kerr will teach Social Studies to seventh and eighth grade and Literature to sixth – eighth grade.
  • Mrs. Ludwig and Mr. Arnas will teach Math. Mr. Arnas will continue to teach Science.
