  • Students may wear their P.E. uniform all day.
  • IF YOUR CHILD IS SAFETY PATROL – they may wear their red SP shirt and white pants all day if they are on duty the day of P.E.

This week, we’re kicking off our first fundraiser for 6th Grade Camp –> representatives from All American Catalog services will be on campus on Monday to talk to 6th and 8th about the sales. Your child should have come home with a packet of information, order form, and catalogs. A large percentage of whatever money your child raises is put forth to your family’s individual camp balance (I’ll talk more about this at Back-to-School Night). Online access for our catalog fundraising can be found here (class code is StVincent6). If your child is collecting money/checks & paper orders, the order form and money envelope are due to me on the morning of Friday, September 6th.

All classes this week are starting our grammar lessons for the year, exploring sentence structure and starting to diagram simple subjects and simple predicates. Additionally, we’ve kicked off the year writing lists, answering the question, “Who are you?”. I’ll update this post with a picture of published work later in the week. Finally, we’ll start to delve into responding to prompts this week using our summer reading books.

In Sixth Grade religion and social studies, we’ve been busy setting up our notebooks for the year. We’ve been focusing on spending time with God and will start talking about the Old Testament this week. In our social studies text, we’re traveling back in time to the early humans.
