October 4th is the Feast of St. Francis of AssisiSt. Francis was a holy man who promoted love and peace in troubled times. Since school is closed on October 4, we will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis on the morning of Thursday, October 3rd during morning assembly. We will hold a blessing of the animals to remember St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. While there will be designated areas on the yard for the animals, all pets must be in a cage/box or on a leash. Students who are unable to bring a pet may bring a picture of their pet or a picture of a pet he or she would like to own. Animals may not stay on campus during the school day, so please make arrangements for your pets to be taken home immediately after the blessing.
