Last of this crazy month coming up!

Wednesday and Thursday, October 30 & 31 – 12n dismissal, conferences (student-led – please make sure your child is present!)

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s Super Family Literacy Night! St. Vincent School is proud to announce our first ever family literacy night on Wednesday, November 6, from 5:45-7:30 p.m. in the St. Vincent Parish Hall. This family literacy night will be an evening of fun activities to encourage literacy in our community. The reason for this is simple: We want to empower parents to promote literacy at home, as well as help parents learn teaching strategies to help their children succeed in school. This year’s event will be held in conjunction with our fall Scholastic book fair and will feature a community read aloud. We hope you’ll join us for a fun, free evening of games, crafts, snacks, and more. For more information, please click here.

Scholastic Book Fair: Our first Scholastic Book Fair of this school term is coming up on Wednesday, November 6 in conjunction with the Super Family Literacy Night. We need your help to make it a success for our students and for St. Vincent School! Volunteers are needed to set-up the Book Fair in the Parish Hall on Tuesday, November 5 between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. We also need volunteers to work during the Book Fair (8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.) and during Super Family Literacy Night (5:45-7:30 p.m.) on Wednesday, November 6. Any amount of time you are able to spend helping would be most appreciated! This is also a fun way to earn service hours and meet your fellow SVS parents! If you are able to volunteer, please email Michelle Wakefield at mlw@dmwakelaw.com. Thank you and see you at the awesome Scholastic Book Fair!

Save the Date for the SVS Christmas Carnival! (formerly Dinner with Santa): This event will take place at Bankers Hill Club on Sunday, December 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Highlights of the event will include a taco and churro bar, drinks for kids and adults, carnival games with prizes for all ages, face painting, professional digital photos with Santa, music, entertainment, and more! Mark your calendars for the Sunday following Thanksgiving so you don’t miss this exciting event! We are looking forward to providing a great community event to support our school! More details coming soon.

2019 SVS Jogic-Con: Jogathon Report: We did it!! We exceeded our fundraising goal of $40,000! The exact amount raised has not been determined yet, but we do know we have exceeded our goal. We would like to thank our wonderful sponsors, St. Vincent students, administration, and staff ~ as well as all volunteers, room parents, and student’s families and friends ~ for helping to make the 2019 Comic-Con turned Jogic-Con a HUGE success. We had 80% student participation in fundraising! We could not have done this without everyone’s help!
