Hello, middle school parents!
I have already posted a similar message on each class’s Google Classroom stream, but just so you as parents have the same information:
Starting on Monday at 8:00 AM, assignments from me will be posted on Google Classroom. I will also list assignments on my class website (6thgrade.svscatholic.org), but all assignments need to be turned in on Google Classroom. Students do not need to be online at a given time, but they should be checking Google Classroom every day for the day’s assignments as the work needs to be completed by the due date provided. We will be following our normal week schedule – M/W/F focus on writing, T/TH focus on grammar skills.
If your child wants to pick up his/her ELA notebooks, you are welcome to drop by the school tomorrow (Monday) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. (they will not need the notebook, but I know some students would feel more comfortable with their notes from the last three quarters).
I will try my best to post as many resources as possible for support. In addition, I am working on using Google Meet or Zoom to allow online video chat with me at scheduled times (similar to office hours). I will provide more information as soon as I have worked out how best to use it for each class.
If your child needs more academic work, don’t forget about First in Math, i-Ready (online reading instruction), and typing.com. Your child should know his/her login information, but feel free to reach out if it’s been forgotten.
